Review

This is the first book I've ever read about zombies.

At first it took me some time to get into the story but once I did, the pages seemed to run trough my fingers.
It wasn't a book I couldn't put down but when I did it I spent all time wondering what was going to happen next.
It was written in a nice way, in third person mainly focusing on Phoebe, Adam and Pete so you could know what happened in everybody's mind.
Maybe what drove me a little crazy were the sudden changes of perspective; at one moment Adam and Phoebe were talking and in the middle of their talk you start reading about what Pete is planning.

I didn't get to know Phoebe as much as I wanted to and there were times I didn't understand her at all but overall she was a good character. What I like about her the most is the fact that she is indifferent about what others think of her, she's a strong character and sometimes a little bit headstrong.

I really liked Tommy's character. He is brave, a ¿?zombie¿? who tries to protect the different biotic kids.
The only thing I don't stand is not knowing if he really has feelings for Phoebe or if it is only a new way of showing the zombies that it is possible.

Adam played a good roll too. He is the typical friend. He realizes he is in love with his goth friend Phoebe, but once he sees that she is interested in Tommy he decides to let go.

Overall: This book was great, if you haven't read any book about zombies this could be a good start.
I expected this book to be a romance novel but it was focused mostly in the discrimination people show against the different biotical kids.
It seems like the second one is more about romance than this one.

Well, all of you who read my review of Deadly little secrets know who much I liked that book so it isn't a surprise that I'm not able to wait till december to real the sequel Deadly little lies. Here's the summary:

Last fall, sixteen-year-old Camelia fell for Ben, the mysterious new boy at school who turned out to have a very mysterious gift--pyschometry, the ability to sense the future through touch. But just as Camelia and Ben's romance began to heat up, he abruptly left town. READING STIMULUS PLAN FOR HOSPITALIZED TEEN PATIENTS LAUNCHES JUST IN TIME FOR “SUPPORT TEEN LIT DAY” APRIL 16
Despite economic downturn, generous publishers have donated thousands of young-adult books for readergirlz, Guys Lit Wire, and YALSA to deliver to teens in America’s top pediatric hospitals

March 17, 2009 (Seattle, Wash.) – Teen patients in pediatric hospitals across the United States will receive 8,000 young-adult novels, audiobooks, and graphic novels next week as readergirlz, Guys Lit Wire, and the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) celebrate the third annual Support Teen Lit Day on April 16.
In its second year, “Operation TBD” (short for Teen Book Drop), puts free books donated by 18 book publishers into the hands of many teens most in need of escape, inspiration and a sense of personal accomplishment. Books with exceptional characters and fabulous stories can provide just that for teens and their families dealing with difficult, long-term hospital stays.
At a time when philanthropic giving is down, readergirlz co-founders have been inspired by overwhelming industry support for Operation TBD. “readergirlz is always looking for innovative ways to connect teens with literature, “ said Dia Calhoun, co-founder of readergirlz and acclaimed young-adult author. “We’re honored that publishers have supported this goal by giving so liberally this year.”
Operation TBD also aims to encourage all teens to choose reading for pleasure as a leisure activity, over other entertainment options. Inciting the broader teen community to participate in Operation TBD in its drive to spur reading on a national scale, readergirlz has launched a trailer on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/readergirlz) inviting teens and YA authors to leave a book in a public place on April 16. When visiting www.readergirlz.com, participants can download bookplates to insert into the books they’ll leave behind, which explain the surprise to the recipient and tell them to read and enjoy.
“This event is such a special one because it not only raises awareness about teen literature, but it also truly helps those teens most in need. Review

I couldn't hel but to love this book. I devoured it in just one day.
It's writen nicely and it's an easy read.
The plot was original and "who has never dreamed with the day a very hot vampire comes to our door claming we're his beloved fiancé?

I do liked the main characters and I get to hate that stupid cheerlader.

I understand Jessica quite well, all the time focusing in what she believed rational and possible and what, just, couldn't be true.

Lucius was just an adorable guy.
I loved the way the author let us know about his feelings trough the letters he writes to his uncle Vasile, giving us another point of view of the story. I really looked forward to read his next letter after something significant happened.
I did fell sorry for him, especially when the final aproched, his story is very sad.


Overall: This was a lovely read. I nearly cried at some point out of frustration and I loved the final thought maybe it was a bit quick.
I would like to read some more about what happens after it.

About the cover all I can say is that I love it. Actually, it was the main thing that drove me to the summary (although the tittle is very intriguing too).
Just when I finished the novel I kept looking at the cover for at least five minutes remembering the full story.
I like that Lucius has this cute smile on him and he is showing his fangs.

Review

I wanted to read this book so badly!

The plot is good and consistent. In the firsts chaters Ever shows us her past but it isn't until we get deep into the story that we discover what really happened to and why Ever thinks she is guilty of the death of her family.

Ever is a character I like a lot. On the surface she is a lonely person who doesn't want to be noticed, always hidding behind hoods, listening to her ipod and not talking very much, and she wants it to be like this because she thinks that is what she deserves for surviving when her family didn't, but in the inside she really wants to be normal, to have fun like she used to, to at least, be normal for one day, She wants to be saved.

So when she meets Damen she get confused because with him she can be like she was before all got wrong, but she doesn't know if it is ok for her to be happy.

Damen is a nice and mysterious. I would have loved to get to know more about him.

I kept wondering all time about what would he be and I arrived to the same conclusion as Ever, all made sense.

One of the characters I liked most of this book was Miles. Ever's friend was very hilarious. I laughed a lot with

him and his unconcern.

And Riley. She's so cute acting like a big sis for Ever.

Overall: This book was fantastic, I loved reading it and I can't wait until the sequel, New Moon, comes out.

I bought this book when it came out here in Spain, a month ago more or less. I had heard about it but I hadn't planned to read it, but that day I was walking through the bookshop when I saw it, and since I didn't had anything to read I decided to give it a try and honestly IT DOESN'T DISAPPOINT. Actually it has ended being my second favourite book (right after Twilight series).

Only to think the wonderful book I could have not read if that day I hadn't bought it... Anyway, I think I'd have ended up buying it because there are reviews of this series everywhere.

I really liked the idea of an urban paranormal book.

I found this book was written in a very nice way, without abusing of the descriptions but letting you know the necessary to represent the imaginary scene in your head and driving you right into the story.

The thing I enjoyed the most was the fact that I could feel the same Clary was feeling; whenever she was scared my face was showing fear, whenever she was happy I couldn't help but to draw a smile in my face, and whenever she was sad or nervous I couldn't stop feeling the same way. And Yes, I cried a little at the end of the book because I don't want (and I know I'm not the only one who thinks this way*) that love story to end like this.

Another thing I loved about this book is the fact that while reading you don't have any more information than Clary I mean, in this book you don't know how the others feel, you don't have any other details of what's happening apart of what Clary sees, feels and knows, and so in this kind of book helps to keep the intrigue and the interest. As the final was getting closer I was shaking while guessing what was going to happen and I was very sad as Clary and I discovered the truth.

If I have to talk about the characters I definitely have to mention Jace. I liked Clary's character but I liked Jace's character the most with difference. I fell deeply in love with him. His not the typical character that is mysterious but kind to the girl. He's arrogant and very determined. He likes doing the thinks his way and he doesn't mind very much what others think about him.

I feel sorry for Simon but sometimes he was a bit annoying.

Overall: I loved this book and I will patiently wait for the next books as for the next works of the author.

But soon, Camelia is receiving eerie phone calls and strange packages with threatening notes. Ben insists she is in danger, and that he can help--but can he be trusted? Review

I was really waiting forward to reading this book and it didn't disappointed me.
This book was amazing.

I like the rules:

" *Rule number one - Never assume
*Rule number two - Anything's possible
*Rule number three - Stop making excuses for Ben
*Rule number four - Don't trust anyone
*And rule number five - Don't go anywhere alone "

I liked the plot very much. I really enjoyed guessing who the stalker was, and I can tell you I never suspected of this person, I mean I was wondering about who could be and while I was reading I was like "It has to be this person" and then "no, maybe this one" but I never expected this person to be the stalker, never even once. It was a big surprise.
I liked the fact that the author lets us know about the stalkers toughs through his diary it was thrilling.

I found the characters well done except of her friends. I find them a bit flat. At some points they were OK, but the thing is "Your friend is being stalked and you keep the time making jokes about it?".

Camelia not telling her parent was another thing I didn't get, I mean, honestly, if I'm being stalked I'm telling my parents for sure. I know she didn't want to worry her mother, but didn't she think that perhaps she would be more worried if something happened to her?

I feel sorry for poor Ben. I believed in all he told, but just as Camelia I did doubt sometimes because it was easy to think he was lying though I were 99% sure he wasn't.


Overall this was a great book I really enjoyed reading. Maybe the final was a bit rushed, but well, this December we'll have the second part Deadly Little Lies to overcome it^^


I can't wait to read the second novel of The Touch series and I'll definitely will read more of her books.

I was surprised to find this book in the library since there aren't many YA books. I think, well I could say that I'm sure it is because the number of people around my age that read has been reclining. If you want to get an idea I'll tell you that I only know three people of my age that actually like reading and two more that are reading Twilight series because they liked the film.

Yeah, I know, it's quite depressing.

My name is Silvia. I'm a sixteen years old teen and I'm Spanish.
Recently I've started buying books from Amazon, not because I don't like reading in my language, in fact I love reading in Spanish and Catalan, but I read about a lot of wonderful books (at these amazing YA blogs I visit everyday) that don't arrive here, so I decided to buy from Amazon (and like this I get to improve my English skills).

At first I didn't tough I'd end up having a blog but suddenly it came to my head and I said "why not? Maybe I make some friends and it'll be a good experience for sure", so here I am.

Like you all may suppose I love reading. I've been a reading girl since I had enough age to understand a book, but little by little, as I grew up I started to read less, and one day a big friend told me about Twilight so I read it and, like that, all my love for books woke again. Ah, and I started reading a new kind of books too: Romance. The truth is that I had never read this genre, but this wonderful series brought my romantic part to the surface.

What I read are YA books, mostly of romance and paranormal (I love impossible love stories), but I do read other genres too.

At Silvia_pi's YA books I'll post reviews of the books I read, but please be a little patient with me cause I've never made something like that before so I'm not very experienced writing reviews and so. I plan to talk about some Spanish books too, so that you know about wonderful books we have here.
