Treasures of the Week (21-27 Sept 2009)

Two things:
1-> I think I'm cursed or something like that because my computer broke down again yesterday. I'm trying to find a solution on my own 'cause if I tell my parents I'll get killed for sure (last time this happened ..... RIGHT BEFORE HOLLYDAYS!!!!, my parents told me that next time they wouldn't pay for the reparation, and I don't have money). Now I'm using my sister's computers (she is at school^^) but I have to be careful to avoid arousing suspicion.
2-> Now, new blog meme.
Lately I've been thinking of making a post every month with the books that I want and are going to be released soon. I've seen posts like this in some blogs and I love them 'cause I always discover one or two books I didn't know about. So I was going to make it, but when I started looking my September wishlist I realised it was going to be a huge, huge, huge post so finlay I decided to make one every monday starting today. I haven't seen any blog do it, but if you do, let me know.

So here are my picks for this week:

By the time anybody found it, the trap’s vicious teeth were empty, pried open and overgrown. It was said the brambles themselves had reached out and taken pity on that boy; that his skin had hardened to bark as thorns grew over every inch of his body.Maybe it’s true and maybe it isn’t. But anyone who knows anything stays out of the woods beyond the Widow’s Stone.That used to be enough. But this is the summer everything changes, as Stucks Cumberland and his friends find a mysterious package containing mementos of their childhood: baseball cards, a worn paperback, a locket. Offerings left behind in the woods years ago, meant to keep the Pricker Boy at bay. Offerings that have been rejected.
